QURANIC PRINCIPLES OF TRAINING AND THEIR APPLICATION IN THE LIGHT OF BAYAN-UL-QURAN AND TAFHEEM-UL-QURAN
Abstract
Education and individual training are fundamental to the moral and cultural development of any society, as they instill values that strengthen both personal character and collective harmony. Mothers, in particular, play a crucial role in this formative process by shaping children’s ethical and spiritual foundations. Serving as the first educators, mothers provide a nurturing environment that fosters moral growth, drawing on principles that guide children toward becoming conscientious members of society. The role of mothers is further inspired by the example of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) companions' wives, who raised their children with a focus on the teachings and values imparted by the Prophet, serving as a lasting model for upbringing. This article delves into the Quranic principles of individual training, highlighting their significance for personal and societal development. The analysis draws upon Tafsir Bayan Al-Quran and Tafheem Al-Qur’an to explore how these exegeses interpret Quranic guidance on nurturing individuals who contribute meaningfully to society. By examining these interpretations, the article sheds light on practical approaches to applying Quranic teachings in contemporary life, underscoring how they can inspire constructive individual behavior that benefits the wider community. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of these two interpretations reveals their strengths in addressing modern societal challenges. Ultimately, fostering individual development rooted in Quranic values is essential for building a unified and morally sound society.
